Event Model of the Year* Titles Include: Print Model of the Year* Entertainer of the Year* Runway Model of the Year* Spokesmodel of the Year* Each of the “Model of the Year” titles will be awarded to the contestant with the highest combination of scores in that event. For Print Model of the year the contestant with the highest combined score in any Print Model category and the Red Carpet Model Event. Entertainer of the Year is the contestant with the highest combined score in the Talent Event and the Red Carpet Model Event. Runway Model of the Year is the contestant with highest combined score in the Vogue Modeling Event and the Red Carpet Model Event. The Spokesmodel of the Year is the contestant with the highest combined score in the Spokesmodel Event and the Red Carpet Model Event. Model of the Year Winners are awarded a 1 year non-exclusive management contract with Ryan Talent and Model Agency, featured on all the National Print Media for American Star Discovery, A Professional Model Headshot Session, 50 8x10 Professional Headshots, An 11x8.5 Soft Cover Professional Modeling Portfolio, a Gorgeous Crown and an Embroidered Sash. SuperModel* Awards are broken down into the following age categories: 0-4 Future Star* 5-8 Child SuperModel* 10 – 12 Young SuperModel* 13 – 17 Teen SuperModel* 18 +Adult SuperModel* SuperModel titles will be awarded to the contestant in the age categories with the highest combined score in the Vogue Modeling Event, the Red Carpet Model Event, plus one optional event. SuperModel Winners will be awarded a 1 year non-exclusive management contract with Ryan Talent and Model Agency, $150 certificate toward a Professional Model Headshot Session and Photos, An 8x8 Soft Cover Professional Modeling Portfolio, a Gorgeous Crown and an Embroidered Sash. *Contestants winning these titles are not eligible to win another title in the Showcase. (These titles are optional titles and are not included in the Showcase Event Entry Fee.) Grand Showcase Model and Talent Directory American Star Discovery produces a Grand Showcase Model and Talent Directory which features each contestant’s name and photo. This Directory is used throughout the year for model and talent scouting by American Star Discovery and other agencies interested in finding models and talent. Showcase Directory Cover Model: American Star Discovery offers an optional event to contestants who wish to be on the front cover of the directory. This event takes place PRIOR to the Grand Showcase, and must be paid for at the time the contestant registers. Contestants who enter the Directory Cover Model Event must submit an 8x10 headshot (color or B&W) with their registration form and payment. (Photos submitted for the Cover Model Event are not returned.) Judging will occur prior to the Grand Showcase and the winner will be displayed in a wall print at registration. The Showcase Directory Cover Model Winner will be awarded one custom 20x30 Wall Print, featured on a personalized portfolio page within the Directory, and a beautiful crown and 5ft. trophy. Showcase Directory Promotional Model: American Star Discovery also offers contestants the ability to earn Event Entry Fees paid, and fabulous awards, through selling ad pages in the Directory. Many Contestants purchase their own “Feature Page” which includes a headshot with a short resume for casting directors and modeling agents. Pages in the Directory can be business ads, good luck wishes from friends and family, feature pages, etc. Pages are sold at a rate of $100 per 8.5x11 page which may be divided into several sizes to accommodate smaller advertisement sales. (For example: half page ads $50, ¼ page ads $25, 10 good luck wishes $10 each.) Contestants who sell at least one full page in the Directory will receive a Tiara. Contestants selling 3 to 5 pages will receive a Tiara and plaque, plus $75 paid toward their Event Entry fees. Contestants selling 6 or more pages have their entire Event Entry Fees paid, plus all optional events**, a beautiful Crown, and 3ft Trophy! Any contestant selling 10 or more pages receive all Event Entry Fees paid, all optional events, will be automatically entered into the Cover Model Event, and will receive a beautiful Crown and 4ft. Trophy! The contestant who sells the most Directory pages (minimum of 6) will be awarded the Showcase Directory Promotional Model! The Showcase Directory Promotional Model will be awarded a custom 16x24 Wall Print, featured on a personalized portfolio page within the Directory, also featured on the back cover of the Directory, receive a beautiful crown and 5ft. trophy. (Male Talent will receive a sash not instead of a tiara) Rising Star: American Star Discovery recognizes contestants who have a talent such as playing a musical instrument, singing, or dancing by awarding one individual the title of Rising Star. The Rising Star winner is the contestant with the highest overall score in the Talent Event. The Rising Star winner will be awarded a 1 year non-exclusive management contract with Ryan Talent and Model, a beautiful crown, embroidered sash, and 4ft. trophy. Most Promising Talent – National Coordinators’ Choice: The National Coordinators of American Star Discovery believe that all people are beautiful and talented individuals. Each year the National Coordinators’ choose one contestant they recognize as the “Most Promising.” This contestant is selected by the National Coordinators personally. That means there are no scores to tabulate, no events to judge, not even a photograph that needs to be turned in. This title is awarded by the National Coordinators and is based on personality, attitude, and sportsmanship. The Rising Star Winner will be awarded a beautiful crown, sash, and 4ft. trophy. New Talent Model Winners: Each age category will have a winner that will be awarded the title of New Talent Model. New Talent Model winners will be the contestant with the highest score in the Vogue Modeling Event for that age category. New Talent Model winners will be awarded a beautiful crown, a sash, and a plaque. Showcase Event Winners: Showcase Event winners in each age category will be awarded Showcase Event titles, such as “Baby Talent Vogue Model,” “Diamond Talent Fitness Model,” “Teen Talent Red Carpet Model,” etc. Each age category will have a winner in Vogue Modeling Event, Fitness Modeling Event, and Red Carpet Modeling Event. Showcase Event winners will be awarded a plaque and a nice gift. Optional Event Winners: Optional Event winners in each age category will be awarded Optional Event titles, such as “Acting Talent Winner,” “Portfolio Print Winner,” “Print Model Winner,” “Comp Card Model Winner,” etc. These events are optional and are not included in the Showcase Event Entry fee. Contestants may enter any of the optional events, just one, or all of them. Optional Events are required for SuperModel of the Year, Model of the Year Titles, and SuperModel Titles, additionally only the highest scoring event(s) will be used in calculating final scores. Optional Event Winners will be awarded a plaque and a nice gift. |
